A Day at the Zoo...not quite

On Friday we were finally able to enjoy some beautiful weather and take a trip to the zoo. After nearly three hours of dressing, eating, packing and loading up we were on our way. We made it inside the gates a little after 11 and began our exploration through Cat Country. Then we made our way over to the hippos and onto the panda exhibit. By then an hour had passed and the boys were already talking about eating lunch. I convinced them to walk through the monkeys and reptiles before stopping for lunch. That's when I discovered I had packed everything except my wallet. I called Scott to see if he was already on his way to meet us but was unable to get ahold of him. I told the boys we would have to pack up and head home if we wanted to eat lunch. They were sad to leave so early but their stomachs just couldn't wait any longer. We'll have to try again another day!
